While helping out on some work on a Project That Shall Not Be Named, I was inspired by the author to create a card-based mini-game to represent the maze that is the namesake of H2: Thunderspire Labyrinth. Skill challenge in the smithy actually made sense to me (I'm not a huge fan of skill challenges in general) and for that encounter I used part of the Horned Hold from H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth to represent the smithy itself. It now runs up to the end of the Horned Hold (map here). Time and again, however, the adventure idea has dungeon tile setups; you name it. The climate and terrain data was pulled from previous editions of D&D (3rd edition and even older), and I used my best judgment for this information whenever a monster was truly new to 4E (i.e. It can be played as a standalone adventure or as the second part of a three-part series. H2: Thunderspire Labyrinth has been the best adventure so far for my group. H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth is a D&D adventure designed for heroic-tier characters of levels 4–6. Helium3 at Enworld posted a list of miniatures/monsters in the upcoming module, Thunderspire Labyrinth for D&D 4e. I have updated my D&D Next conversion of H2: Thunderspire Labyrinth. Halfway through Thunderspire Labyrinth, I think the shine of 4E wore off and the “flatness” of H2 was shown. Many times in D&D, I have tried (or read an adventure that tried) to create a scenario with the dungeoneers trapped in some sort of maze which they must find their way out of. For the core Dungeons & Dragons Fourth Edition campaign as described in Fourth Edition Dungeon Master's Guide and continued in H1, Keep on the Shadowfell, H2, Thunderspire Labyrinth, and H3, Pyramid of Shadows.
